About the Role:
- Bizzy is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist the Accounting Manager in creating and maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, generating reports for analysis, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash deposits, and journal entries
- Conduct daily/monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
- Support month, quarter, and year-end close processes
- Coordinate tax requests for 3rd party accountants for timely filings
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Knowledge of GAAP & cost accounting principles, including the ability to research and apply accounting standards
- Understanding of financial statements and accounts receivable/payable processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and business acumen
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with demonstrated Excel skills including both the creation and manipulation of large amounts of data
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Comfortability with data entry
- Willingness to learn
- Must pass Background check.
